About Me

My name is Father Brian Hess. I am a Roman Catholic priest assigned to Holy Name Parish in Sheridan, Wyoming. I've lived most of my life in Wyoming and I pray that I always get to stay here. I started seminary in 2005 at Conception Seminary College. I began graduate studies in theology at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in 2010. I was ordained a priest on June 20, 2014.

I was assigned to Holy Name Catholic Church (and its missions) from July 2014 to June 2016. Now I'm the associate pastor in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and it's missions.

This blog is mostly a place to post homilies and other reflections. Welcome!

When I'm not priesting (which, technically, I'm always doing), I like to hike and camp in the beautiful mountains of Wyoming and Colorado. This is me on top of 14,034 ft Redcloud Peak in Colorado.

And I like to brew beer. This is a Rye IPA I brewed in the fall of 2015

And I like to run. Here is me in my second Colfax Marathon in Denver, CO.
